Shi Lin Night Market is one of the most famous night markets in Taipei, and attracts both residents and tourists, locals and foreigners. It is located in the Shi Lin area, surrounding Yang Ming Theater, extending in all directions as far as Wen Lin, Ji He, Da Dong and Da Nan roads. You can find at this market almost any product imaginable and any kind of food.
Taipei 101 is a landmark skyscraper located in Taipei, with 101 floors, Designed by C.Y. Lee & Partners and constructed by KTRT Joint Venture, and since 2004 it is the tallest building in the world. Its original name was Taipei Financial Center, but for its 101 floors got its nickname, Taipei 101. The interior is as impressive as its size, being the most technologically advanced skyscraper constructed to date, with fiber optics, satellite Internet connections, doubledecker elevators with a speed of 37.5 mph or 16.83 meters per second, and features 6 floor malls, restaurants, nightclubs, all within a retro gothic style and feng shui master design.
Located in Taipei, this memorial is to the Republic of China´s Father of the Nation, Dr. Sun Yat-sen. It is a social educational and cultural center now, for the Taiwanese, and the memorial was completed on 1972. In the beginning, it displayed revolutionary events of Dr. Sun Yat-sen at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and now counts with multi media theater, performance hall and professional library.
The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a memorial located in Taipei City, for the late President Chiang Kai-shek. It shares the grounds of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Park with the National Concert Hall and National Theater and is one of the city's defining landmarks. There are several ponds and parks throughout the memorial, with well-maintained lawns, trees, and walking pathways. The ponds are filled with the colorful goldfish that are also found in many sacred places and temples throughout Taiwan.
