Renmin Square

3_3 Once known as Stalin Square, due to a large monument in memory of the Northeast liberation by the Soviet army, it was changed to its present name in 1994. The monument was taken from the square in 1999 and replaced by a massive European-style fountain and white marble cloister. It is the place to gawk at government buildings and to spend a leisurely summer day watching locals fly kites and maneuvering through morning exercises
